If you don’t have a good handle on your brand and ideal audience, you’re in for a whirlwind. Getting brand clarity is the first step when starting a “business.”
Whether you’ve been a hobbiest for years and finally decided to take it a step further, or maybe you’re new to it but have the passion to soar through…
it’s time to put down a solid foundation.
What is branding
Marketing is the explanation of what you do, helping people understand clearly what you offer. Branding is how you make those people feel. They go hand in hand, but the latter is what really sets you apart.
Getting Brand Clarity
I’ve compiled the main questions I ask my clients during our brand consultations and am giving these to you for free! Take the time to really dive deep, define and refine.
What do you do?
What do you really sell? (It’s not actually the pictures you are selling. What are you really selling?)
What’s your story? How did you get into running your own business?
Identify the value of your business:
What is your vision for your business?
Where do you want to have built 1yr, 5yr, 10yr from now?
Define what success means to you:
What do you do differently in your business than others in your industry?
What do you want to be known for?
Why are you brilliant at what you do? What makes you credible?
What promise are you making?
What is the big promise you are making to your clients?
I’ve also created a worksheet if you would rather download, print, and fill it out.
